Per Radioantenne kommuniziert das Halsband mit dem Connector, der wiederum per Bluetooth mit Ihrem Smartphone verbunden ist. Das Gerät funktioniert somit auch ohne Netzabdeckung. Alle Funktionen werden über die kostenlose App Dogtra Pathfinder mit dem Smartphone kontrolliert: In der App gibt es eine Landkarte, einen Kompass und eine Ferntrainer-Funktion.
